TheFlash head Eric Wallace has given an update on the new GreenArrow Mia Queen-Smoak's future after her last Arrowverse appearance.👀 “Not this year, but I do hope to have her back in Season 9.”
The Flash showrunner Eric Wallace is hoping to bring back the new Green Arrow for season 9 following her last Arrowverse appearance. Things are starting to come together as The Flash season 8 is heading into its final three episodes, with the season finale arriving later this month.
When The Flash season 8 debuted in late 2021, it opened in a significantly different way, as the Arrowverse drama hosted the crossover-like, five-part event: Armageddon. Though it wasn't a traditional crossover, The Flash: Armageddon brought in several Arrowverse heroes from other shows. One of them was Katherine McNamara as she reprised the role of the new Green Arrow, Mia Queen-Smoak, nearly a year after her spinoff Green Arrow and the Canaries wasn't picked up to series by The CW.
Given that McNamara is already on one CW show, it does leave the door open for the Green Arrow to appear in at least one episode in The Flash season 9. When Mia returned during Armageddon, The Flash included some subtle teases of setting up a potential dynamic between her and the future West-Allen children, which could get a payoff next year.
