Photos from next week's episode of TheFlash ⚡

The CW has released photos from the upcoming episode of The Flash, titled"The Fire Next Time." The Flash is back in full swing after a lengthy delay following the season-starting crossover event, Armageddon in the fall.

In tonight's March 16 episode, titled"Lockdown,” criminals invade the CCPD, forcing Barry and Captain Kristen Kramer to trust each other and work together to try to make it out of the police headquarters safely. Meanwhile, Caitlin learns a valuable lesson in a memorable situation while she’s out with Frost and Chillblaine .

It sounds as if we may actually get to see Barry do some leg work on a crime scene. Despite the fact that Barry is a crime scene investigator, he does very little actual crime scene investigating on the show. One would think that since Barry is frequently involved in storylines that include CCPD investigations, he would find the need to actually utilize his professional talents, but he rarely does.

On the rare occasion when Barry has slapped down some C.S.I., the writers have been pretty cloudy about what the job actually entails. Barry has acted as both a crime scene investigator and a forensic scientist, which are two completely different occupations. Crime scene investigators are the on-the-scene professionals who are called to the scene of a crime to ensure that all physical evidence is properly collected, preserved, and documented according to a strict code of standards.

A forensic scientist, on the other hand, analyzes the evidence gathered or received from crime scenes, and then utilizes scientific principles to support or negate theories surrounding said physical evidence. Forensic scientists rarely, if ever, go to a crime scene. However, throughout the eight seasons of The Flash, we have seen Barry do both, gathering evidence and taking it back to S.T.A.R. Labs to analyze it.

HotFlash Report on Abortion - Hot Flash 10 - Dr. Carole Joffee - Who Works At Abortion Clinics and Jumps Through All These Hoops?HotFlash Report on Abortion - Hot Flash 10 - Dr. Carole Joffee - Who Works At Abortion Clinics and Jumps Through All These Hoops?Ann & Diane chat with Dr. Carole Joffee, Professor of OB/GYN & Reproductive Services at UCSF and author of several books about abortion. Dr. Joffee discusses the relationship of abortion and mainstream medicine among other compelling topics. Mainstream medicine has always supported abortion, but not necessarily abortion clinics. In the scheme of things, legalized abortion (and thus abortion clinics) let mainstream medicine off the hook in having to deal with the provision of abortion services. In this terrifying and moving time, who are the people who work in clinics and jump through all these hoops? Dr. Joffee's research has shown that abortion provider satisfaction with their work is higher than people in other medical fields. Additionally, the economics of abortion has shown that if prices for an abortion had kept up with inflation, an early abortion which costs $300-600 today should cost over $2,200. So, is this a sustainable business model? They ponder if the worst happens and Dobbs overturns Roe sometime this Spring/Summer and abortion becomes instantly illegal in half the states, what will the reaction be? Because acceptance has been affirmed, will the reaction be muted and how will the press cover the overturning of a 50-year precedent? Do big demonstrations make a difference politically, or will pro-choice advocates be marching to the choir? Diane clarifies exactly what to expect after Dobbs. They discuss the reactions in the Hostile States (where abortion will immediately become illegal) and the Haven States where abortion will remain legal, but they will have to take up the slack from the Hostile States. Throughout all of this, abortion clinic staff have been outstanding and their work is admired and saluted. They are the people jumping through all the hoops to not let women down.
