The latest data from the Land Registry has revealed the most and least affordable areas of the UK to buy a property. Here are the latest statistics for the Glasgow area.
North Lanarkshire is the most affordable area around Glasgow to buy a home, according to the latest statistics.
However, West Dunbartonshire's average property price is lower than North Lanarkshire at £137,000 but prices are not as affordable due to the difference in salary, according to the the Land Registry's data. Glasgow City is only the fifth most affordable place in the region to buy a property with an average price of £173,000. This is 5 times the average local salaries of residents in the area.
