Thousands of people who care for someone are missing out on extra cash each month
The Department for Work and Pensions offers a monthly payment of £327 to anyone who spends a significant part of their week caring for someone else.
This benefit is worth £81.90 per week and can be used to assist with your caring responsibilities or simply to help pay bills. To qualify, you must be over 16 years old, not in full-time education, and earn £139 or less per week after tax and other deductions.You don't have to be related to the person you're caring for to be eligible. However, it's important to check the criteria on gov.uk before applying, as it could affect other benefit claims.
