The park is famous for its wildlife
The Splendour Festival is set to take place on the historic grounds of Wollaton Park for the first time in two years thanks to Covid Restrictions. It's the first year that the festival will be split into two days rather than one with a full lineup of performers including Anne-Marie and Supergrass.
which includes several deer who call the vast grounds home. Although the line-up is fantastic, the deer won't be staying onsite to enjoy the sounds of Richard Ashcroft or steal some festival food. Amazingly, the deer are not removed from the grounds during the festival nor are they rounded up or penned in. The wild animals don't like loud noises so they instinctively know when to stay away from the grounds. So despite the chance to catch some Craig David tunes, the deer won't be in attendance. The festival barriers around the perimeter of the event help to keep any deer out if they are tempted to sneak in without a ticket.
The last Splendour Festival was held in 2019 before Covid restrictions were introduced with over 30,000 people in attendance. This year is set to be even larger with the introduction of the second day. Tickets are on sale now for Splendour which takes place on Saturday, July 9 and Sunday, July 10. They are priced £85 for a weekend pass with £75 for Nottingham residents.
