The Dallas Morning News’ 2022 Offensive Player of the Year, Cook caught 84 passes for 1,478 yards and 22 touchdowns as a senior, and led DeSoto to a 6A Div. II state championship, its second-ever and first since 2016. He caught four passes for 110 yards and a touchdown in DeSoto’s 42-17 win over Austin Vandegrift in the title game.Duncanville five-star defensive lineman/linebacker Colin Simmons had a legendary junior year, one that ranks among the best in Dallas-area history.
