“The data we have obtained show that the British population, surprisingly, has a differential susceptibility in the order of 80 to 120 times higher than that of the Spanish,” Dr Marco Garbayo said in a Ms Moses, 39, said she only learnt about Nolotil months after Mr Brooks’ death, when she saw a newspaper report. “The hospital didn’t say anything about why he had died except that he must have got an infection and must have caused sepsis.Patrick Clancy, a former oil company worker, took Nolotil after a shoulder operation in 2017. Days later, he went into septic shock and doctors put him in an induced coma as his organs started shutting down.
Seven years on, Mr Clancy suffers from flu-like exhaustion, is highly emotional and says his brain feels “foggy”. Mr Clancy, third right with his wife Julie and his family, still suffers side effects seven years on and believes the drug is responsible “We welcome any information that contributes to medical scientific knowledge and helps us to improve the risk-benefit profile and safe use of our medicines,” it added.
