Some of the bold and brilliant outfits served up at Manchester Pride 2023
has been blessed with glorious sunshine, but even though this year's event has already seen sudden showers, thunder and lightning, it hasn't dampened spirits.
In fact, festival-goers came ready and prepared, donning their most colourful rain jackets and keeping their carefully curated outfits and colourful garms covered with umbrellas, cagoules and whatever they could get their hands on. The fashion at Manchester Pride always delivers, and Mancunians across the city have been pulling out all the stops to create bold, beautiful and tongue-in-cheek statements.Today we’ve seen tributes to Barbie, some seriously short shorts, feather wings and some fabulous accessories. A look at the closer at the all-important finer details revealed some shimmering eyeshadows and face paint, silver cowboys boots and of course, lots and lots or rainbows - in every way, shape and form.
During the parade, we were also treated to outfits and costumes inspired by marriage - think long veils, matching tuxedos and multi-coloured bouquets - thanks to the event's theme, The Queerly Beloved, which was chosen theme has been chosen to celebrate love in the 10th anniversary year of marriage equality in the UK after the Marriage Act was passed on July 17 2013.
