We chat with Ebon Moss-Bachrach about TheBear season 2, which is now streaming on Hulu. The actor shares what he wants for his character, how the team worked Taylor Swift into the show, and if he would come back to Marvel:
The Bear was an overnight sensation, building up a massive fan base with its first season. Season 2 picks up just days after the first one ended, featuring the employees of the Original Beef of Chicagoland working tirelessly to convert it to Carmy's dream restaurant, The Bear. Of course, whatever can go wrong, will go wrong, and the team must decide if this is what they truly want.
Screen Rant sat down with Ebon Moss-Bachrach to discuss The Bear season 2. He confessed what he would like to see for his character, Richie, as well as how the team worked Taylor Swift into this season of The Bear. Ebon also spoke about whether he would like to reprise his role as David Linus Lieberman, also known as Microchip, in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Screen Rant: There is this moment when Mike's Fenway poster gets ripped. I found it to be so powerful. Can you talk about what that moment means to Richie? Ebon Moss-Bachrach: When we see him for the first time this season, he's down in the basement looking at old photos. There's that crazy thing when you move or when you renovate or something, you unpack. When you peel away paint and expose different things, that's life. That layering upon layering. There's a cool painting word for it. I think it's called impasto. I'm probably getting that wrong, but texture, depth, layers, history.
Screen Rant: That line is so relatable, too. My husband does the same thing after my daughters and I listen to Taylor for weeks on end. Screen Rant: It was so perfect. Swifties will be very happy to hear that Taylor is included in this season of The Bear. Screen Rant: I loved it! It was great to be back with these characters and get to dive deeper into it all.
