A two-year-old in Alvord, Texas saved his entire family from perishing in a massive house fire Jan. 15, 2022. His parents had lost their sense of smell due to COVID 19, and new smoke detectors in the home never went off.. A toddler in Alvord, Texas managed to wake his mother in the early-morning hours of Jan. 15 and is credited for saving his entire family from a massive fire that destroyed their home, reports say., Nathan and Kayla Dahl lost everything in the fire.
It’s believed the fire started in the living room where Brandon had been sleeping, so Kayla could more easily check on him throughout the night since he hadn’t been feeling well, the report said. Kayla Dahl woke up her husband, screaming, “Fire! Fire! Fire!” And, with a plan already in place, the Dahl parents were out of the house with their five kids in less than a minute, WFAA reported. Nathan Dahl said had Brandon woken them up any later than he did, or had they moved a bit slower, the outcome could have been much worse.
