A Texas man pleaded guilty after being charged with shooting and killing a man at a truck stop in Union Township in Hunterdon County last year, officials said. David L. Rodriguez, 45, of Alamo, Texas, pleaded guilty to one count of first-degree aggravated manslaughter before Hunterdon County Superior Court Judge Angela Borkowski on June 22.

Rodriquez was charged in January 2021 with shooting and killing Ricardo Menezes De Castro at a truck stop on Jan. 23, 2021. The Hunterdon County Prosecutor’s Office conducted a joint investigation with the New Jersey State Police.
