A Texas lawmaker has vowed to release surveillance video of police responding to the Uvalde shooting, despite guidance from the local DA that it remain under wraps.

Busbee has not responded to requests for comment from ABC News.

Greg Abbott, who is running for reelection, joined Rep. Burrows and Uvalde's mayor in calling for the footage to be made public.
