King was found to be missing on September 28 and the case remains under investigation. If convicted, King faces an additional five years in federal prison, the DoJ said.two inmates, each serving 20 years on federal drug charges, were found to be missing from the Beaumont low-security camp. Alarm bells rang on June 12 after the men, Salvador Garcia, 59 and Victor Luis Pescador, 56, escaped the complex.
According to the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office, the ranch route has been used in the past. In January last year, it said a 25-year-old man called Joshua Hansen had been caught fleeing the prison to pick up a bag that was dropped off at the property a few hours earlier. "The duffle bag contained three bottles of brandy, one bottle of whisky, multiple bags of Bugler tobacco, packaged snacks, fruit and a large amount of home cooked food,", noting the ranch, which sits on private land, is located at the back side of the prison facility.
