Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton is suing Travis County over how it’s using funds to help register voters ahead of the election.
“The right to vote is one of the most precious constitutional rights." Bexar County Judge Peter Sakai said. Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton announced he’s suing Travis County Friday morning, alleging the county didn’t have the authority to use taxpayer dollars to hire the company Civic Government Solutions to identify unregistered voters. In a statement, Paxton says in part:
He was joined on the panel by Bexar County Judge Peter Sakai, whose county was sued earlier this week over a similar program, which would mail registration forms to unregistered voters.
