“He’s our leader in our receiving room,” wide receiver Chris Moore said Tuesday. “We love him, he’s a great player, he’s a great leader, a great man. So all that stuff that happens, we all know, that’s just part of the business. So you never know what’s going to happen. So we’re happy to have him back.”
There are so many factors that are involved in being a good quarterback. You’ve got to have protection, which for the most part Mills has. You’ve also got to have multiple weapons, which Mills doesn’t have. And I think that’s contributed to his numbers dropping. However, it is likely that changes to his staff will occur. Some coaches will move on for other jobs, and you may see Smith decide to go in a different direction with others.
