Awful news coming in from Rutherglen.
Officers were called to the supermarket in Dalmarnock Road, Rutherglen on Saturday. The alarm was raised at around 1.30pm following reports of a serious assault 'at a premises' in the area.
The store was quickly evacuated and police cordoned off the front of the shop, according to the Daily Record. A 25-year-old woman was found at the scene with serious injuries. She was rushed to Glasgow's Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment. Her current medical condition is unknown at this time.
