We decided to take a look at some of the more colourful turns of phrase the people of Northern Ireland use every day
Terms of endearment are a love language, used to show affection to our nearest and dearest. While some are universal amongst English-speakers around the world, the way they’re used or said can differ by place.
Therefore, even though many terms of endearment used in Northern Ireland overlap with those used elsewhere, people who grew up here know them in a unique context. After all, we have our own spake in these parts. We decided to take a look at some of the words the people of Northern Ireland use lovingly towards each other.
