After losing to Texas 7-2 on Friday, the Volunteers busted loose against Baylor.

And before the Volunteers came to bat in the first inning on Saturday, Baylor had scored four runs.
“No need to panic,” fifth-year Tennessee coach Tony Vitello said. “You don’t want to come back from 12-0 or anything like that, but these are explosive athletes that are part of these programs. Jared Dickey is growing into his role batting at the top of the order. The designated hitter collected three of the 12 hits for Tennessee .
“You want to come back with a good response, a bounce back, because the first inning didn’t go our way,” Vitello said. It was a rough first inning for both starting pitchers. Dollander settled down. Baylor righty Jake Jackson never found a rhythm, issuing runs in each of the three innings he pitched.
