Due to a herd of elk residing in Salt Lake City, an order has been issued that requires all dogs to be on a leash in one area until April.
SALT LAKE CITY — Salt Lake City Mayor Erin Mendenhall issued a temporary order Thursday that requires dogs to be on a leash in one city park because of an elk herd.
The order states that off-leashed dogs have been disturbing the herd, which creates safety issues for elk, dogs, and humans as well.
