Temple University will honor the life and legacy of Charles L. Blockson at on Sept. 19. Blockson, the curator emeritus of the Blockson Afro-American Collection, died June 14 at age 89.

Oliver St. Clair Franklin, the third Honorary British Consul for Greater Philadelphia, is also scheduled to speak at Blockson’s service.
