She fears she is scarred for life
A teen fears she may have been left scarred for life after claiming to have been lured out of a bar by a fellow female reveller - only to have a bottle smashed over her head. Kalicia Powell was enjoying drinks out with friends on Boxing Day in a bar not far from her home in Castleford, West Yorkshire, when they took to the dancefloor.
She has now shared shocking photos of her bloodied face and black eye to warn about the seriousness of this kind of attack. Kalicia said: "Me and my friend went out and made our way back to the local. "So me and my friend went outside when the club shut about 20 minutes later and my friend said 'there's that girl', so I went over and said 'what did you want me to wait outside for?'. Her friend turned round to me and said 'me and you in the alleyway now where there's no CCTV'."
The teen claims the unknown woman was just five steps away when she threw the bottle at her, instantly splitting her forehead and leaving her covered in blood. A bystander called the police who arrived quickly and bandaged Kalicia's wounds before she says they advised her to call for someone to take her to hospital.
"With how the police patched my head up luckily it closed up enough itself and then I just had it glued shut and strips put over it. I've still got the strips on and I've still got a purple bit under my eye but the swelling is going.
