Global Citizen has already been producing a series of at-home concerts featuring Shawn Mendes, Camila Cabello,, and more. Now, Global Citizen and the World Health Organization have teamed up for one epic night of musical performances, and a ticket isn't even required to enjoy.
On Saturday, April 18, the organizations will present One World: Together At Home, a worldwide special that will feature a star-studded cast of talent showing their support for healthcare workers. As Global Citizen explained in a statement, "It’s a historic, first-of-its kind global broadcast event to celebrate the heroic efforts of community health workers, and to support the World Health Organization in the global fight to end COVID-19.
Performances will get underway on Saturday, beginning at 8:00 p.m. ET. Viewers can watch the special on ABC, NBC, ViacomCBS Networks, iHeartMedia, and Bell Media networks and platforms in Canada. Internationally, BBC One will run the program on Sunday April 19, 2020. For this special event, the Lady Gaga-curated artists and stars scheduled to appear include Idris and Sabrina Elba, J Balvin, John Legend, Kacey Musgraves, Keith Urban, Kerry Washington, Lang Lang, Lizzo, Maluma, Paul McCartney, Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Shah Rukh Khan and Stevie Wonder. The event will also feature special appearances from healthcare workers who will share their experiences in fighting COVID-19.
But the fun doesn't stop there. More artists keep being added to the special event , and the 2-hour concert will also have a 6-hour pre-show. During that pre-show, performers include SuperM, Adam Lambert, Annie Lennox, Becky G, Ben Platt, Charlie Puth, Ellie Goulding, Niall Horan, and more.
