TAIPEI: Taiwan's military announced plans on Tuesday (Jan 17) to include women in its reservist training for the first time this year, as the island tries to bolster its forces

Taipei's defence ministry said it would allow around 200 discharged female soldiers to enrol in voluntary reservist trainings from the second quarter of this year, as part of efforts to boost the overall backup force.
