The death toll for the Turkey-Syria earthquake has climbed past 21K as rescues dwindle days after the massive quake hit the area.
"I have a son just like you," a rescue worker, identified only as Yasemin, told him after giving him a warm hug. "I swear to you, I have not slept for four days. I swear I did not sleep; I was trying to get you out."
Elsewhere, in the Turkish city of Diyarbakir, a woman was rescued and rescuers were still trying to reach her child. Aerial footage from over the earthquake zone in Turkey revealed entire neighborhoods of high-rises reduced to twisted metal, pulverized concrete and exposed wires. A 7.8 magnitude earthquake shook central Turkey early Monday and was followed by a strong aftershock.
