Both Asda and Morrisons have recalled the product - symptoms to look for
Supermarket giants Asda and Morrisons have both issued an urgent recall over a food product which could be contaminated with a bacteria which causes a rare infection.
These are the symptoms of Listeria to look for: People who are pregnant typically get fever and flu-like symptoms such as aches and fatigue.Symptoms in non-pregnant people can be severe and in the US, almost 1 in 20 people with invasive listeriosis die of the infection. "In babies and people with a weakened immune system, listeriosis can sometimes lead to serious and life-threatening problems such as sepsis or meningitis."You can usually look after yourself at home by resting and drinking plenty of fluids.The recalled products which could contain Listeria bacteria: Asda has recalled its ASDA Extra Special Taleggio cheese, dated April 14 2024.
