The Dons want Thelin as their next boss and according to ons insider, it's easy to see why.
Niklas Gunnarsson can see exactly why Aberdeen are pressing to try to make Jimmy Thelin their next manager.
“They are probably the most physical team in the Swedish top-flight but they also have a good tempo. They like to press a high and they don’t give the opposition much time on the ball. “We played against them and they were far higher than us in terms of the match statistics last season. “Things like their high intensity running and power plays. We were leading 1-0 and we ended up losing 2-1. I just felt they were much more powerful than us in everything they did.”
“When he first went in Elfsborg weren’t a top team but in the last few seasons they have been back up there challenging again. Initially, he signed players from his former club and they struggled but now he has brought in better and more experienced players and that has seen a real improvement in Elfsborg.”
