An SUV stolen Tuesday night with a baby in the back seat was recovered several hours later with the 3-month-old still inside, authorities said Thursday.
Shortly before 11 p.m., sheriff’s officers recovered the vehicle abandoned in Newark’s South Ward with the baby safe inside, Fontoura said. Investigators from several agencies, including the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, responded to help find the child, Fontoura said.
