HOUSTON, Texas -- A suspect was shot and killed Wednesday evening by a 13-year HPD veteran at an apartment complex in southwest Houston, authorities said.Police were after a man wanted for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, according to executive assistant chief Matt Slinkard. Police got word the suspect was possibly at the apartment complex.
Slinkard said investigators are still working to determine if the man fired his pistol, but it was reported no officers were hit by the suspect.The suspect was described as a young African American man.
