The suspect lived on and off in the Alrgave between 1995 and 2007 and is connected to the area of Praia da Luz where Madeleine was last seen by her mother, Kate McCann, who noticed the toddler vanished when she went to go check on her that evening, police said. "We welcome the appeal today regarding the disappearance of our daughter, Madeleine," they said in a statement."We would like to thank the police forces involved for their continued efforts in the search for Madeleine."
