Roberts wrote that the federal government did not provide an adequate reason to end DACA, and could try again with a more detailed argument. The opinion further concluded that the Trump administration did not follow proper procedures as ascribed by law in its move to end the program, nor did it thoroughly consider how it would impact the program’s participants, who were protected from deportation and allowed to work in the U.S.reported, because he is seeking re-election in November and DACA is a popular program.
