Summary Suits season 9 featured a controversial Harvey Specter plot that ended up making me like his character even more. While Harvey had always been front and center in Suits, he became even more important after the exits of Mike, Rachel, and Jessica. Now that the Harvey and Mike interactions were no more, Suits had to change how it approached its main character.

While the episode is mainly focused on Samantha and her past, it ends with Harvey realizing that he has the chance to fix things with his mother before it’s too late.
Harvey Reconnecting With His Mother Before She Died Made His Character Better It Showed How Mature Harvey Specter Had Become I understand why many Suits fans have a problem with Harvey forgiving Lilly. Not only did Harvey Specter reconnect with his mother, but he also apologized as if he was partially to blame for what happened to their family. Harvey had all the right to be upset with his mother and not want to be close to her again, regardless of how she or his brother felt about it.
