Police have launched a criminal investigation.Cail, a native of New Hampshire, competed at the Pan Pacific Championships, where she won a gold medal in the relay in 1997.
She also won a silver medal at the 1998-1999 World Aquatics Swimming World Cup in Brazil, Boston.com reported.
