A Subway in Georgia removed a sign that appeared to mock the Titan submersible disaster, joking that its 'subs don't implode'
A Subway store in a suburb of Savannah, Georgia had to remove a roadside sign that appeared to mock the Titan submersible disaster, reading:"Our subs dont implode.""We have been in contact with the franchise about this matter and made it clear that this kind of comment has no place in our business," a Subway spokesperson told Insider."The sign has since been removed."
Subway didn't immediately respond to Insider's request for comment, made outside of normal working hours. The sign appears to be referring to OceanGate's recent submersible tragedy, during which all five people on board died. During a trip to view the wreck of the Titanic on June 18, the Titan, the submersible, lost communication with its mothership.
