Those without a sticker will no longer be collected

The new garden waste collections are now underway for households across North Northamptonshire. The new subscription-only service will see residents pay £40 to have their brown bin collected monthly.

Residents in the former Corby, Wellingborough and Kettering council areas who have already signed up to the scheme should have received a sticker for their bin showing they have paid for the service. .NNC announced last November its plans to harmonise kerbside garden waste collections under a single service.

Payment for the new collections can be made online via debit or credit card. People can sign up any time and, once payment is processed, will receive a new garden waste permit for sticking onto their bin so collection crews know to collect it. The authority will also be offering an ad hoc sack collection system, at £16.50 for ten compostable sacks. Residents can also take green waste to their nearest household waste recycling centre in the NNC area for free disposal.
