Review: The Netflix docuseries 'Street Food: Latin America' presents a mouth-watering tour of the street-cuisine of countries including Argentina, Brazil and Mexico
It seems unlikely that many viewers in the U.S. are going to run into the kitchen and make the tortillas de papas, feijoada or picarones that are photographed so alluringly, seductively and even voluptuously in “Street Food: Latin America.” The instruction is minimal.
The thrills are vicarious. The pleasures are available from the comfort of one’s couch. Basically, it’s food porn. But it’s also travel porn: It’s hard to imagine rushing off to, say, Salvador, Brazil, right now, although “Street Food” will have you wishing you could.
