Stranger Things' Millie Bobby Brown was told she was 'too mature' to be child star before landing Eleven role
' Millie Bobby Brown is one of the standout cast members, often being praised for the maturity she brings to her performance as Eleven.
But before landing that role, the actress has stated that her maturity was a hindrance. In an interview with, she admitted that a well-known casting director made her cry when she was just 10-years old by telling her that she was"too mature". She explained:"I always knew that I was mature and I couldn’t really help that. Going back to what I said earlier about being kind of very lonely in who I was and feeling like no one was quite like me in school and no one was as mature as I was, [hearing that] was really hard because I thought [maturity] was a good thing.
