It was born out of tragedy, but the annual event has become a triumph and much credit must go to the co-founders of the festival, Robert de Niro and his business partner Jane Rosenthal. In the years since, the festival has broadened to include events in all five boroughs which is why the revival of "A Bronx Tale" fits so perfectly.
"I'm looking forward to seeing the movie at the end of the festival, a new print, everything," De Niro said.
