A new round of storms may develop and move in from the north after 9pm tonight. As these storms dive south overnight, they are expected to weaken somewhat. There is a Slight Risk of severe weather along and north of a Lafayette to Richmond line. The rest of central Indiana is included in a Marginal Risk . Large hail and gusty winds are the main threats. However, we can’t rule out an isolated tornado. We stay warm and muggy overnight with lows in the low to mid 70s.
Some serious heat and humidity take the weather headlines Thursday and Friday. We have a Heat Advisory both days. Afternoon heat index temperatures will reach 100° to 110°. If you can, avoid spending prolonged periods in the heat of the afternoon. Take frequent breaks in the AC and stay hydrated. High temperatures will reach the middle 90s Thursday and the upper 90s Friday. Both days bring quite a bit of sunshine. An isolated storm is possible Thursday afternoon.
