The NI Fiscal Council says ministers may have to make cuts after the financial package is exhausted.

"I know we are united as an executive in terms of the challenges that we have ahead of us but also the need to ensure we have a proper funded public service model here.", the NIFC has warned that once the short term elements of the package are exhausted ministers may have to raise revenue or make cuts.
On Thursday, ministers will get an update from Finance Minister Caoimhe Archibald about the current budgetary position. Education Minister Paul Givan had already said he will update the Executive about plans to improve childcare provision in Northern Ireland.to develop and implement a new early learning and childcare strategy.
