A couple say they lost their life savings as they tried to move items to safety during Storm Babet.
A couple say they lost their savings when thieves stole more than £30,000 in cash which they moved from their home which was flooded during Storm Babet.
The couple live in a bungalow on the site which has flooded three times before, and moved the money, along with jewellery and clothes, to a motorhome.Mr Henderson believes thieves had watched him and his wife move their belongings to the motorhome in the early hours of the morning. "We'd put all our belongings into that motorhome an hour before, which were two handbags and another bag full of gold, my wife's engagement ring, a diamond ring, her mum's gold, gold tags, St Christopher, all the gold we'd collected through all our lives.
South Yorkshire Police said: "We were called to reports of a burglary on 20 October at 1.24am. He said the inside of their bungalow is ruined."Officers have completed CCTV enquiries in the area and enquiries are ongoing."
