A dog walker has captured the surreal moment a forest floor was lifted up and down in heavy winds as Storm Babet lashes Scotland. David Nugent-Malone and his dog Jake were strolling through their local woods in Mugdock, Stirlingshire, when they saw the surface of the forest being blown up and down in the wind. Mr Nugent-Malone's video shows trees moving with the forest floor as it rises and falls.
'The day was very blustery, but the worst of the storm had hit through the night.' He added: 'We were out walking a route we've walked literally hundreds of times before on a day when it was windier than usual. 'We weren't sheltering from the storm, we were just walking the same old woody pathways. It took us by surprise and was more weird than scary.' The footage also showed his dog standing on the forest floor as it moves up and down.
