Steph McGovern's own show, Steph's Packed Lunch, has just been cancelled
Steph McGovern has spoken out about rumours she could take over Holly Willoughby's former role on This Morning.
Speaking to the Daily Mail, before the cancellation of Steph's Packed Lunch was revealed, she said: "I think we're all aware that we have a certain responsibility on air and there's such a mix of people out there watching."She added that she was not as "famous" as Holly, and so didn't believe she would ever have the same problem. Steph also paid tribute to Holly, saying: "I don't know her - I know she's a fantastic broadcaster, so I wish her well.
As for Steph's Packed Lunch, this will come to a end in December amid rumours of Steph being in the running for Holly's former role. In a statement, Channel 4 said: "With audience habits changing quicker than ever, we have to make difficult decisions about which programmes to invest in to best drive our digital-first strategy and we have decided not to recommission Steph's Packed Lunch when its existing production contract ends in December 2023.
