Now that’s, that’s next-level,” she. “We cannot be arming our teachers, we have to get the guns off the street, something Lee Zeldin refuses to do.” New York GOP chairman Nick Langworthy, who is also running for an upstate congressional seat, bashed the governor’s comments.
Queens Councilman Robert Holden, a Democrat who crossed party lines to endorse Zeldin, accused Hochul of being “a crime denier.”
