Police spent hours trying to communicate with the armed man inside the home, but he would not respond, according to authorities.

Waynesboro police said officers were first called to the home in the 200 block of North Potomac Street around 7:17 a.m., for an armed person being violent in the residence. Everyone else in the home was able to evacuate, which left the man, identified as 37-year-old Christopher Repman, alone in the home, police said. It was unclear how many other people were in the house.
Police said a perimeter was established and law enforcement made efforts to communicate with Repman. He did not respond to their efforts, which led local authorities to call in the state police Special Emergency Response Team.. He is being held at Franklin County Jail on two counts of felony terroristic threats.Online court dockets show that Repman is being held on $5,000 bail. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for May 31.
