This St Patrick's Day falls on Sunday 17 March, with lots of events going on across Greater Manchester to celebrate
With around 35 per cent of Manchester's population believed to have some form of Irish roots, it's no wonder St Patrick's Day has become fully embedded into the city's culture.

As long as you're not an a***hole, you're good' A sea of green set off from the Irish World Heritage Centre in Cheetham Hill and travelled along Cheetham Hill Road to the AO Arena, passing Manchester Fort, before turning around, and heading back to the Irish World Heritage Centre.
Alongside Francis McIlduff on uilleann pipes, whistles and bodhran and Brendan Quinn on guitar, vocals and stomp, The John McSherry Trio will perform music from their live debut album Féile. Rustik, West Didsbury West Didsbury’s Rustik is hosting events throughout the week leading up to a big party on Sunday. Before March 17, there will be a traditional night, an Irish quiz night and a launch of Irish food specials.
