A theatre company has been praised for its kind gesture after announcing 'pay what you can afford' tickets for its final panto show of the festive season.
Sharing news of the offer on its social media platforms, the theatre company said: “Our gesture to those most in need in this time or crisis. The remaining tickets for our final show of Cinderella will be “Pay What You Can”.“We kindly request for this not to be seen as a “freebie”’ or something to taken advantage of. Reserved for those who cannot join us under any circumstances.”
David Gaskell added: “What an amazing gesture. If only all theatres would do similar. What a great night out for people who wouldn't normally be able to go. We saw it before Christmas and it was brill.”
