SS Daley is launching is Orange Label, comprising of one-off upcycled pieces. The first drop of the SS Daley Orange Label features shirting made from upcycled tea towels.
When Steven Stokey-Daley first emerged on the scene back in 2020, he made his mark via Harry Styles’s “Golden” video, in which the singer wore a pair of the designer’s floral trousers made from upcycled curtains. Indeed, at the time, many of the University of Westminster graduate’s designs were repurposed from old tablecloths and tea towels, in keeping with his sustainably-minded ethos.
The first drop, priced from £435, features shirting made using repurposed tea towels and English linen which perfectly fits in with the English Dandy aesthetic that the brand has become so well known for. There are already plans to expand into other categories, including trousers and outerwear. Of course, upcycling can be a hugely time-consuming process. Take the patchwork style, which is made of around 100 separate pieces that have been carefully collaged together.
