During his time in Atlanta, Barlow showed off his skills as a modern big man, guarding all five positions and stretching the floor with his 3-point shooting. “He is looking very good out there, considering how young he is,” Poeltl said. “When he gets his opportunities, it seems like he has got a cool head, like he’s doing his thing. He’s very talented, a very athletic kid. If he develops the right way, he can be very good.”

That is really impressive.” In Hall, the Spurs have a 6-7, 215-pound playmaking guard who conjurs memories of Kyle Anderson. As a sophomore at St. Joseph’s last season, Hall averaged 14.1 points, 6.7 rebounds, 5.8 assists and 1.2 steals while shooting 36.2 percent from distance on 6.3 attempts.
Barlow and Hall joined the Spurs with scouting reports that had high praise for their work ethic, a trait Spurs point guard Tre Jones noticed in training camp.
