In hockey action, the Huskies dropped a pair of pre-season men’s exhibition hockey games in Calgary, losing 5-2 to the Dinos on Friday and 3-2 on Saturday. In women’s exhibition hockey the host Huskies lost 3-1 to the Mount Royal Cougars on Friday before bouncing back with a 1-0 win at home over the Alberta Pandas on Saturday. In women’s volleyball pre-season action it was the Huskies losing 3-1 to UBC on Friday, 3-0 to Mount Royal on Saturday and 3-1 to Calgary on Sunday.
