There’s also the need to manage their type 1 diabetes, and Diabetes UK has partnered with the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation and The Diabetes Football Community to present a special event designed specifically to help young players and their families.
They will look at how playing and training can impact on diabetes management, and expert speakers will share insights from the diabetes football community. The Together Type 1 programme is a a pioneering and life-changing programme for young people with type 1 diabetes, delivered in partnership with the Steve Morgan Foundation which has invested an incredible £5m into supporting young people with type 1 diabetes across the UK as they transition to adulthood.
